Looking for info on Stephen McMullen who emigrated from Ireland to Canada. First record found in Canada is for 1861 Census • Hanover Village, Bentinck Township, Grey County but don’t know when he arrived. Next record is for marriage to Rachel Wilson on 04 May 1866 in Bruce County, Ontario Canada. Records for their parents are hard to trace – Rachel’s father was Peter Wilson of which there seem to be several with that name. Stephen’s parents appear to be James McMullen & Maary Bellford who also emigrated from Ireland, possibly from County Monaghan,Province Ulster – found on Stephen’s death certificate. I can follow Stephen + Rachel forward in time but continue to search for correct ancestors.
