My 3x great great grandfather immigrated to Canada then Ill then Iowa. I have an Immigration lists Index 15002-1900s that lists him as arriving at Montreal Canada with 6 children Source PUblication code: 5994.30 and lists registers of James Allison a MOntreal government emigrant agent , Neilson collection at t he National Archives of Canada which are found in MG24, B1, vol. 21 and 22, microfilm reel. “Names ofEmigrants” from 18445-1847 Records of James Allison, Records of James Allison, Emigrant Agent at Montreal Ottawa ON: Irish REsearch Group Ottawa Branch ONtario Genealogical Society, 1994 P.52 I found this List Index with all this info in 2016 on ancestry.com. Since then I had a zoom with the center in Dublin hoping to find a living relative but since I do not have Michael Callanan’s wife’s last name (maiden) I couldn’t proceed. Michael and Honora are buried in Clear Lake, IA. I haven’t yet been to CerroGordo courthouse to find a death record (1859) for Honora which might have her maiden name but all other records I have found for Michael and his children and grandchildren here in AMerica never list her last name or say “Unknown”. Can you help?
thank you.
Hello, Unfortunately we do not do research nor do we have records. Rather we are a place to share and learn. Our main focus is to provide education to researchers by offering webinars, links to other websites, etc. Best of luck.
